4 Energy-Boosting Fat-Burning Tips to Help You Feel Great and Lose Weight

Sharing is caring!

Any of these statements sound familiar?

“I’m so tired.”

“I don’t have any energy.”

“I just want to lose weight.”

Life has a way of throwing us out of balance and when that happens, we tend to lose our energy and start gaining weight.

Not a fun place to be in.

Then we make matters worse by trying the latest weight loss trick, only to feel worse than before.

A common question is, “Can I boost my energy and lose weight at the same time?”

My answer, “Yes, you can and It’s not hard to get started.”

Today, more than ever, we’re tired and are energy drained. Our weight creeps up and we can come to the point of giving up trying to figure out what to do to stop the madness.

You’ve heard it before, I’m sure, but we need our bodies to become fat-burning machines.

Why?

Your body has a tendency to store fat in your abdomen and thighs, which tends to be the hardest fat to get rid of. In order to release this fat from storage, you need to turn up the heat.

You stop with the processed foods and sugar and start eating healthy whole foods.

Here are 4 tips to get you started with boosting your energy and burning the fat so that you can begin your weight loss journey.

Eat Your Breakfast

You’ve been fasting since last night’s dinner and now it’s time to break the fast.

Choose a breakfast that is fiber and protein rich. Those complex carbs will get your digestive system working for a few hours and you’ll notice you’re not hungry by 9:00 in the morning.

I aim for at least 10 to 15 grams of protein in the morning, along with fiber and fruit.

Some high protein breakfast options are eggs, oatmeal with added protein, yogurt, quinoa, and energy boosting smoothies.

Your body will start burning fat and burn it all day long when you start your day with a protein and fiber rich breakfast.

Add Protein to Your Diet

Protein fuels your energy levels.

Pay attention to how much protein you are eating during the day. Most don’t eat enough, which leads to feeling sluggish and tire.

Adding protein to your diet is a simple as throwing in some eggs, legumes, beans, nuts, and meat to each of your meals.

Your body needs protein to maintain your energy. The higher your energy levels, the more fat is burned by your body. Plus, you’ll build muscle, which also burns away fat.

Look for ways to add protein rich foods to your diet during the day. My favorite way to add protein to my diet is by eating almonds and walnuts during the day, eggs for breakfast, humus and veggies for lunch, and power bowls with beans and quinoa for dinner.

Have a Glass of Water

Looking for a natural appetite suppressant?

Drink a glass of water 30 minutes before your meal and you’ll eat less and burn more calories.

Most people are dehydrated without realizing it. Dehydration causes you to feel tired and weak. Keeping your body hydrated throughout the day will keep your energy levels up and your hunger suppressed.

Water aids in your digestion, which helps your body absorb the nutrients of the foods you eat and rid itself of waste.

Make it a habit to drink half your body weight in ounces of water. Make a pitcher of infused water with your favorite fruit or herbs. Cucumber water is a great thirst quencher on a hot day. Just slice a cucumber into a pitcher of water, let it sit for about an hour and enjoy.

Add Variety to Your Workouts

Your body loves variety as much as you do.

Often, we’ll begin a workout routine and then notice a few weeks into it that we’ve hit a plateau.

This is because your body has stopped responding to your workout. It’s bored.

The answer to boredom is to add some variety to your weekly workout routine. Have a different routine for each day of your workout, then your body will respond positively as you exercise.

Look for ways to work each muscle group throughout the week with different types of exercises. This will help your body burn fat, build muscle, and boost your energy levels.

Boosting your energy and burning fat does not need to be hard. Simple steps day-by-day will help your body respond positively and you’ll soon notice that you’re feeling better, have more energy, and losing some weight.
